VEHICLE RENTAL AGREEMENT: TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Security Deposit

Hold Amount: A mandatory security deposit equal to one (1) week of the total rental charge will be pre-authorised on the primary driver’s debit or credit card at vehicle pickup.

Deposit Usage: The hold secures payment against any incidental costs, including fuel shortages, traffic or parking fines, late return charges, or uninsurable damages.

Release: The £ amount held will be released upon returning the vehicle in its original condition. Funds typically reflect back in the account within 3 to 10 working days, depending on your card issuer.

2. Client Insurance Requirement

Mandatory Self-Insurance: The renter must provide their own fully comprehensive motor insurance policy covering the specific vehicle during the entire hire period.

Proof of Coverage: Valid proof of active UK comprehensive insurance (e.g., Certificate of Motor Insurance or policy schedule naming the vehicle) must be presented prior to release.

Liability & Claims: The client assumes full liability for all damage, loss, or theft. In the event of an incident, the client must file a claim directly with their insurer and pay any applicable policy excesses.

3. Eligibility & Documentation

Age & License: Drivers must be aged 21 to 75 and hold a valid, unexpired UK or international driver's license for a minimum of 12 months.

Identity Verification: Renters must provide two proofs of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement within 3 months) alongside a valid photo ID/passport

4. Fuel Policy & Vehicle Usage

Fuel Return: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as recorded upon pickup. Unfilled fuel will be deducted from the security deposit at £2.50 per litre plus a £15 refueling fee.

Authorized Drivers: Only drivers explicitly named on this agreement are legally permitted to drive the vehicle. Unauthorized drivers void all insurance coverage and forfeit the £ deposit.
